Feldman Labs at the University of Nevada, Reno  Dr. Chris Feldman’s lab at the University of Nevada, Reno studying evolution, ecology, and conservation biology of reptiles and amphibians.

UNR Museum of Natural History The integrated research and teaching collections of the College of Agriculture, Biotechnology, and Natural Resources and the College of Science in a single natural history collection. Located on campus in the Fleischmann Agriculture Building (suite 300), the museum holds irreplaceable specimens of plants and animals that are used for research, teaching, and outreach. Collections date back as far as the 1850’s, and represent a unique snapshot of the flora and fauna our region, and beyond!
The museum holds 92,000 plant specimens of great historical value, as well as a growing collection of over half a million regional and tropical insects, and over 10,000 mammals, birds, reptiles, and amphibians.


American Society of Ichthyologists and Herpetologists (ASIH) The American Society of Ichthyologists and Herpetologists is dedicated to the scientific study of fishes, amphibians and reptiles. The primary emphases of the Society are to increase knowledge about these organisms, to disseminate that knowledge through publications, conferences, symposia, and other means, and to encourage and support young scientists who will make future advances in these fields.

AmphibiaWeb AmphibiaWeb, a site inspired by global amphibian declines, is an online system that allows free access to information on amphibian biology and conservation.

Herp Digest The first free electronic newsletter dedicated only to reptile and amphibian conservation and science.

Reptile Database This database provides a catalogue of all living reptile species and their classification.
